Optical Slip Ring for noise-free imaging
Panasonic P-T-Z cameras use an advanced all-optical connection between the moving camera and the base, to provide a higher-quality image with less video noise. Unlike cameras that rely on a sliding metal-to-metal contact that is vulnerable to wear and dust, P-T-Z cameras transmit the video from camera to base via a light beam that requires no physical contacts at all. This eliminates the image noise and greatly enhances the reliability of the unit.
Motion Detection
To support monitoring needs, the P-T-Z cameras include a built-in motion detection feature that can trigger a range of alarms in response to motion in the field of view. Cameras can be set to respond to motion within a given area of the screen, or to motion of a certain duration.
The alarm can be used to trigger recording in a DVR, or to alert an operator.
